               Habits of Highly Healthy People

1. Eat your vegetables.

2. Eat fish and/or take fish oil. Omega-3 found in cold-water fish lower the risk of heart disease, they lower blood pressure, they improve mood, and they're good for the brain.

3. Another factor to a healthy lifestyle is drinking water. What oil is to a gas engine, water is to the body.

4. Get some sun. At least 10-15 minutes three times a week. Vitamin D is again in the news. Broken down by ethnicity, 70 percent of whites, 90 percent of Hispanics and 97 percent of blacks are seriously deficient in Vitamin D. Deficiency in Vitamin D causes (among other things) softening of bones.

5. Proper Sleep. Not sleeping well will cause you to have low energy, gain weight, be grumpy, and look haggard.

6. Exercise every day. Forget this 20 minutes three times a week stuff.

7. Vitamins can give you that extra boost that you don't get through your diet. Chances are, even if you're trying to eat healthy, you miss something that you need. A good multi-vitamin will solve that.

8. Drink red wine or eat grapes. The resveratrol in dark grapes is being studied for its effect on extending life.

9. Get the sugar out. The number one enemy of vitality, health, and longevity is not fat, it's sugar.

10. Connect. Social connections are a healthy influence in our life. Connected to joy and happiness.

11. Practice gratitude and positive attitude.

Doing just a few of the above can begin to make an impact in your life.
